The Service Connection Fee includes District-supplied materials for the connection (service saddle, service line, valves, fittings, meter, meter box and any other materials required), supervision and inspection of the installation and permit from Tillamook County. The cost of equipment and labor for excavation of the service line trench, saw cutting the street paving, water main tap, installation of district-supplied materials, backfill, pavement replacement and any other installation costs required will be paid directly by applicant to his/her contractor. Applicant's contractor shall be approved by the District for the installation. Future maintenance of the service by the District between the main and the water meter will begin upon acceptance of the installation by the District. Applicant is responsible for installation and maintenance of the service line from the meter to the residence, and for maintaining the meter box's visibility and accessibility at all times.

Applicant further agrees to abide by all Rules and Regulations of the District and further understands that the water service supplied by the district shall be employed for domestic use only.

District agrees only to supply water in an amount and at a pressure required by state law, and assumes no responsibility for any lines on private property, or for any damages resulting from installation or maintenance of such lines.

Please note that District rules require the installation of a pressure reducing valve and hand shut-off valve near the entry point of the house.

In conformance with District policy on cross-connections customer may be required to install an approved backflow prevention device at his own cost.
